Clean and Natural Gas

Gas purification is an intricate process in which impurities are separated from raw natural gas to acquire pure natural gas also known as pipeline quality gas. The natural gas that we use in our home is not pure when it is dug from underground. The most of the component is non-methane hydrocarbons and other fluids. A company cannot supply this gas straight away to the consumers. The system of gas purification in Alberta first processes this gas and later supplies it through the gas pipelines.

There are three kind of wells, oil well, gas well and condensate well. The gas wells generally produce raw natural gas by themselves. The processing of the raw natural gas is basically done nearby the wellhead but the final processing is done at the processing plant. There are basically four steps in the system of gas purification in Alberta. These steps are:-

1 - Oil and condensate removal
2 - Water removal
3 - Separation of natural gas liquids
4 - Sulfur and carbon dioxide removal

The natural gas is used in many different ways. Most common use is in household cooking and heating water. It provides fuel for the power stations. It provides fuel for industrial work. It also provides fuel for environmental friendly automobiles. The system of gas purification in Alberta is providing clean natural gas to the world.
